The Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay will be entering into the spirit of the Cardiff Festival this year with "DRAGON" - a carnival-theatre spectacular on Sunday 25th July, 12 - 4pm.
From the award-winning carnival group SWICA comes "DRAGON", a carnival-theatre family show combining the best of carnival traditions from the Caribbean and Latin America with an all drumming, dancing and chanting tribute to Wales' Red Dragon.

Bouncing stilt (bocking) dragons battling in costume - 10 minute shows outdoor on the rear piaza of the Centre at 12.45pm; 1.45pm; 2.45pm & 3.45pm (weather permitting)
Dragon Carnival shows at 1pm & 3pm - hosted and guided throughout the Centre by Merlin! Includes:
- Small parade
- Full cast dancing in flamboyant costume
- Capoeira and Samba dancers
- Funky brass accompaniment (Wonderbrass)
- Samba drumming (Batatan)
- Stilt-walking 9ft Dragon
- Photo opportunities with the cast
Mask making workshops & face painting 12 - 4pm (subject to availability during peak times)
