Now in its 23rd year, under the artistic direction of Owain Arwel Hughes OBE, the much loved Lloyds TSB Welsh Proms Cardiff season is one of the focal points in the city’s cultural calendar and a hallmark of the Cardiff Festival, combining magical music with an irresistible party atmosphere.

The 2008 season offers seven magnificent orchestral symphony concerts, together with outstanding soloists and choirs. One of the highlights of this celebratory year will undoubtedly be the performance of Mendelssohn’s Elijah, featuring the legendary Bryn Terfel, and Rebecca Evans.
