

Colourful, flamboyant and exciting! The Cardiff MAS Carnival at Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend returns this year to bring flamboyant costumes and carnival creations, masks and headpieces, giant puppets on backpacks and mobile sculptures to dance along our City streets. Last year over 400 costumes were seen along the route from Cardiff Bay to the City Centre .

The 2008 theme is ‘Behind the Mask’. Masks from across the globe will be used, so expect a cavalcade of spectacular Giant Masks as the masqueraders reveal their true selves…

2008 Parade Leaves Canal Path Park in Butetown at 12 noon, parading up Bute Street, St. Mary Street and Castle Street to City Hall lawn by 1.30pm.
